McAuliffe International Schools (MIS) implement the IB MYP framework including pedagogy focused on international perspectives and approaches to learning and teaching. For each unit of study, teachers create a statement of inquiry. Teachers use the statement of inquiry to ensure that concepts and context inform the selection of learning experiences, formative assessment and teaching strategies. The focus on data-driven instruction supports teachers in gathering information about their students to make the informed decisions IB MYP requires. Our learning process is:
- Based on inquiry
- Focused on developing conceptual understanding
- Developed in local and global contexts
- Focused on effective teamwork and collaboration
- Differentiated to meet the needs of all learners
- Informed by assessment (formative and summative)
