McAuliffe Manual develops and facilitates several travel opportunities for students to experience the greater world. These include Outdoor Education Camp (YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch), 8th grade trip to Washington D.C., and travel abroad.
Each May, McAuliffe Manual plans and facilitates an annual experiential learning trip to Snow Mountain Ranch (near Winter Park, CO). Students participate in outdoor activities such as archery, downhill tubing, rock climbing, community building around the camp fire and free recreation time. Click here to view last year’s master schedule.
This year’s trip is planned for May 16-18, 2018. We will host an informational meeting for the YMCA trip on April 19th, 6pm for 6th grade families and 7pm for 7th grade families. Parents/Guardians and their students are required to acknowledge and sign our policy regarding student expectations for attending YMCA. You can access that policy letter here.
For planning purposes, the projected total cost of the 3-day/2-night trip, including all camp activities, food, lodging, and transportation to and from the camp on coach buses is $185. Financial Aid is available, please inquire with the front office.
