Opioid Epidemic Meeting Hosted by SAFE Project

preventionS.A.F.E. Project supports and drives action that prevents fatal overdoses and mitigates the impact of the opioid epidemic on our society – especially campuses and communities.

You are invited to join this important panel discussion around the opioid epidemic on Monday, Oct 29th, from 6:30-8:00pm, at McAuliffe International School. You can view the flyer here.

Further information about the epidemic from the SAFE Project website:

“In 2017, 11.4 million Americans aged 12 or older misused opioids. The vast majority misused prescription pain relievers.”

“Statistics show that young people between the ages of 18 and 25 are least likely to view drug usage as risky behavior. It demands rejuvenated drug education programs, beginning in elementary school.”

Watch the NOVA documentary, “Addiction” on PBS, Oct 17th @ 9pm.
